In Memory Of Kevin Dunn

Kevin Dunn, one of Pittsburgh’s most talented young musicians, passed away on Friday April 11th. Kevin was 27.

On May 1st at the Blues Café Kevin's friends, relatives and fellow musicians came together in a celebration of his life and love of music.

Shari Richards, Dante’s Inferno, Mister “B”, Zack Wiesinger, Mark Suhy, Joe Mrak Dr.Zoot, Members of the Dunn Family, and many more, gave unforgettable performances.

I was particularly impressed, by the many talented members of Dunn Family:
Bob Dunn (drums) Kevin's oldest brother
Mike Dunn (guitar) Kevin's nephew (age 17)
Ronnie Dunn (drums) Kevin's cousin

. . . Excellence is Eternal

Music is obviously woven into the very fabric of this close-knit family. To see them on stage together for this occasion was a very emotionally moving experience.

Mr. Zack Wiesinger performed one of most breathtaking solos that I have ever witnessed. At one point he whipped the entire packed house into frenzy. The crowd’s energy was at such a high level; I thought the building could explode.

Yah…. He almost “Blew the Roof off the Joint!” …Quite Literally!!!!

It was an unforgettable evening dedicated to an incredible musician and an extraordinary person; Mr. Kevin Dunn.
